This course will cover all stages of volunteer management beginning with recruiting volunteers and matching them with appropriate opportunities that are worthwhile for them and helpful to your organization. You will learn the components of a strong volunteer program, including developing job descriptions, designing an orientation program, and determining the appropriate level of management and supervision for different types of volunteers. This course will cover volunteer recognition and retention. Challenging situations such as declining, reassigning, and letting volunteers go will also be addressed.
